The Duchess of Sussex Makes a Surprise Arrival at the City of Light Fashion Week
The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance at Paris Fashion Week this past weekend to support a close designer companion.
Meghan was present at the Balenciaga presentation after making a journey alone across the Atlantic.
She has donned several creations by the brand's new creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli and the attendance reflected "her backing of his latest creative phase," a spokesman for the royal stated.
This marked her initial visit at the fashion spectacle for over ten years.
"Over the years, the royal figure has worn various outfits by the designer," the representative said.
"They have worked closely together on designing for key moments on the global platform."
"She has long admired his craftsmanship and contemporary grace, and this evening was no different."
"This evening represents the culmination of a long time of artistry and companionship, reflected in her endorsement for his latest creative endeavor at the fashion house."
The duchess, who shared her presence in Paris with an social media post, chose a white outfit of wide-leg trousers and a blazer from the collection for the show on the weekend.
The duchess is most recently noted to have traveled to the United Kingdom in late 2022 to attend a philanthropic gathering and was in the nation when the late Queen died. She and Prince Harry then stayed on for the funeral.
Prince Harry met his father the King last month amid rumors about a mending of ties.
Harry has made several trips to the UK in recent years for a variety of engagements including for fundraising occasions and to attend court cases.
This week, Prince Harry joined remotely for a court session in a case against the Daily Mail's publisher.
